Fumiko lives an unenviable life. Banished from the powerful and influential Tachibana clan, her name taken from her when she was still a young teen, Fumiko manages to fight her way into adulthood despite the stigma of being "nameless." A dead-end job she hates with a boss who sees her as pretty furniture, living in a tiny flat in the grungy and neon-drenched wards, Fumiko doesn't have a lot of hope for the rest of her life at this point. The sole bright spot in her life is her childhood friend Marisa, a highborn daughter of the Renfield clan. Trapped in an arranged marriage for the benefit of the family, Marisa maintains regular contact with her old friend long after Fumiko's exile from highborn society.

Expecting to grow old and die alone and be forgotten, Fumiko couldn't have possibly predicted what would happen. A tragedy in the Renfield clan, however disconnected from Fumiko's current life, brings her closer to Marisa than she ever thought possible. An evening of raw emotions, pain and anger leads both women to seek comfort in each other's arms. Drawn into Risa's eager embrace as well as her social circle, Fumiko feels as if the changes will overwhelm her.

Possibilities that she never would have dreamed of become a reality. A chance meeting with a beautiful stranger sends sparks flying and soon after, Fumiko is left to decide if there is truly enough room in her heart for two.
